Interquartz help make a splash at Alton Towers

The company, has supplied 300 phones for the newly opened Splash Landings Hotel at Alton Towers.

The hotel is themed in a colourful, chaotic, bustling Caribbean style and the phones had to fit in with the decor.

They wanted red Enterprise 98390 phones,
said Charles Williams, the Business Development Manager for Interquartz.

This is a standard colour for this phone so there was not a problem.

However, they wanted 200 blue phones for the refurbished Alton Towers Hotel so we made a limited number to fulfil the contract. As a result these phones are unique - you won't find them anywhere else in the world.

Designed in Alton Towers' eccentric and inimitable way, the 216-roomed Splash Landings hotel is filled with fun features including bubbling water fountains, tropical plants and quirky plumbing.

Guests can dine on exotic 'world cuisine' dishes in a 300-seat novelty restaurant where they can watch their food being flamboyantly prepared. Alternatively they can soak up the party atmosphere while sipping Pina Coladas in the tropical terrace bar which overlooks Cariba Creek, a huge waterpark linked to the hotel and exclusive to its guests.

The merging of both indoor and outdoor water zones makes Cariba Creek a first in Europe. The 'watertainment' centre is themed around a fictitious Caribbean village and boasts hundreds of interactive elements and centres around a gigantic, water feature - a tipping bucket that intermittently tips 1,000 gallons of water over unsuspecting swimmers!

Using 15 miles of pipework, Cariba Creek's designers have explored every possible variation on the theme of getting wet!

The centre incorporates three rides, including the UK's longest masterblaster ride, which propels guests at high speed through the one million gallons of water in the zone.

The hotel's rooms, which sleep four (with some sleeping six), follow the Caribbean theme offering fun, comfortable and unforgettable accommodation for families - and red phones. The rooms are so popular that a spokesman for Alton Towers said:

We have already welcomed over 45,000 guests to Splash Landings, and forward bookings are extremely encouraging.

The Alton Towers hotel offers a more relaxed, but nonetheless magical, atmosphere for those who prefer a bit of 'chill time' after a thrilling day on the Park.

While the two hotels provide an unforgettable 'away-from-it-all' experience, the theme park wanted to ensure that its guests had all the necessary facilities to keep in touch with the outside world.

The Enterprise 98390 does just that. It is the most popular telephone in the Interquartz range and is a best seller in a very competitive marketplace. Just as with any other Interquartz telephone, it is rugged and reliable, representing great value for money.

It has triple standard message waiting (high voltage, reverse polarity & voltage drop), a modem port (grey and black models only), and is supplied with both BT & RJ45 line cords.

It has a ringer indicator light, ringer volume adjustment, a locking mute button with LED indicator, last number redial and a recall button.

It is hearing aid compatible and is wall mountable with no additional bracket required. It is also ELR/TBR switchable.

All Interquartz telephones carry a six-year warranty and are CE marked.
